Fan-favorites face off on last week of ‘AGT’ Quarterfinals
Tonight, the last 12 quarterfinalists went toe-to-toe for the chance to win America’s Got Talent (AGT)’s signature grand prize: $1 million and a spot in the Luxor Las Vegas show.
Which acts rose to the occasion? Did any of the judges (Simon Cowell, Sofia Vergara, Howie Mandel, and Heidi Klum) press their buzzer? Read on to find out!
After Terry Crews did his signature entrance and introduced the judges, it was time to get down to business. Japan-based unicycle group Unicycle Flow was the first group to face America’s votes. Tonight, the 12 unicyclists cycled their way onto the Dolby Theatre stage. I was very impressed by their choreography and their showmanship. B
Up next to face America was singer ANICA. The realtor had to thank Howie and the ladies to make it to the Dolby Theatre. Tonight, she sang Bishop Briggs’ “River” with a live band. I was impressed with the vocal, but she has her work cut out as Brooke Simpson, Mama C of the Curtis Family C-Notes, and Storm Large was also performing tonight. B-
Heidi Klum’s Golden Buzzer act, Lea Kyle, has changed my opinion of quick-change magic. Like Heidi said in her pre-performance commentary, Lea makes all the clothes that she performs with. I thought it was a good performance from start to finish. B+
